  1. Why is my Bank of Maharashtra credit card being closed?
    Bank of Maharashtra has taken a strategic decision to exit from credit card business. For convenience of existing credit card customers Bank has partnered with SBI cards for issuance of credit card under co-brand arrangement to provide enhanced features and services to customers.
     
  2. What is a Bank of Maharashtra-SBI co-branded credit card?
    It is a credit card jointly issued by SBI Cards and Bank of Maharashtra, carrying both brands and offering SBI cards wide merchant acceptance and exclusive co-branded benefits for Bank of Maharashtra customers.
     
  3. When will my existing credit card stop working?
    Your existing credit card will be deactivated from the date informed to you via SMS. Please check the communication for your specific deactivation date.
     
  4. Will I get a new Bank of Maharashtra - SBI credit card automatically?
    No, SBI Cards will contact you for your consent and process issuance upon approval.
     
  5. What happens to my existing EMIs on the card?
    All EMIs running on your card will be foreclosed without any penalty. The total outstanding, including EMI balances, will become payable. You have to clear all your dues.
     
  6. Do I need to pay foreclosure charges?
    No. All EMIs are being foreclosed without any foreclosure or prepayment charges under this transition. For all our existing customers, we have waived foreclosure charges.
     
  7. How can I pay my outstanding dues?
    You can pay using:
     Payment through BBPS- G-pay, Phonepe, Cred, Paytm, Amazon pay etc.
     Through Credit Card portal
     Mobile Banking
     Internet Banking
     Through paynet (https://pgi.billdesk.com/pgidsk/pgmerc/bomcard/BOM_card.jsp)
     NEFT/IMPS from other banks- Input your credit card number as beneficiary account number and IFSC as MAHB00001977
     Visiting your branch for direct payment
    Ensure timely payment to avoid credit score impact.
     
  8. What if I am unable to pay my dues in full now?
    After payment of minimum dues as per last bill, you can avail a special personal loan facility to clear your credit card dues. Please visit your home branch for further details and application.
     
  9. How will I know if I am eligible for the new Bank of Maharashtra -SBI card?
    SBI Cards will evaluate your profile as per laid guidelines and credit underwriting policies after which new co-branded credit card will be either approved or rejected.
     
  10. What is the process after I get the new BOM-SBI card?
    Activate your new card upon receipt. You should initiate balance transfer from your BOM-SBI card to close your existing BoM card dues, if dues of existing Bank of Maharashtra credit card is not cleared.
     
  11. What happens if I do not pay my dues after deactivation?
    The offer of special personal loan will cease and forced loan will be effective in your linked SB account.
    Further, non-payment of dues will negatively impact your credit bureau (CIC) score.
     
  12. Will my credit score be affected?
    If dues are cleared on time, your credit score will remain unaffected. Non-payment will lead to negative reporting to credit bureaus.
